It’s hard to believe, but this April marks a major milestone for us. Amish Country Soap Company is officially turning 22! While our business has been operating for over two decades, the roots of our craft go back much further: stretching across 250 years of tradition right here in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country.
Over the last 22 years, we’ve talked to thousands of customers, experimented with countless natural ingredients, and refined our recipes to perfection. We’ve learned that skincare doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. In honor of our anniversary, we want to share 22 "secrets" we’ve discovered along the way. In an industry that changes its mind every week about what’s "good" for you, we’ve found that the 250-year-old methods we use are still the gold standard. When you stick to time-tested recipes, you don't need to worry about the latest chemical fad.

One of our biggest secrets is the use of grass-fed beef tallow. Because the molecular structure of tallow is so similar to the oils naturally produced by human skin, your body knows exactly what to do with it. It absorbs deeply rather than just sitting on the surface.
